Riley Gaines, the outspoken women’s rights activist and former NCAA swimmer, was assaulted by a pro-trans crowd after delivering a speech at San Francisco State University on Thursday night.
Gaines, who had previously made headlines for speaking out against trans swimmer Lia Thomas being awarded a trophy over her, was “physically assaulted” following a Turning Point USA event, according to Fox News.
Her husband, Louis Barker, said she had to be barricaded in a room for nearly three hours for her own protection. Gaines later took to Twitter to describe the attack, stating that she was hit twice by a man and calling for sex-protected spaces for women.
In the video she posted, chaos can be seen erupting in the room after the incident. According to Gaines’ agent, Eli Bremer, the speech was intended to educate people about the impact of biological males competing in women’s sports, particularly in light of Title IX. Instead, Gaines was “violently accosted, shouted at, physically assaulted, and barricaded in a room by protestors.”

Bremer called the attack unacceptable, stating that it was “stunning” that biological male students could violently assault a woman for standing up for women’s rights.
Despite the attack, Gaines remains committed to speaking out against the radical left and educating people about the dangers of biological males in women’s sports.
